Several of our Special Events, such as our Crop Walk are geared towards giving back to the community that we call home.
Food and Clothing
Donations of good quality used clothing are collected by our Deacons on the first Sunday of each month. These are then distributed to needy families and other area organizations.

Thanksgiving baskets containing everything needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving Family Dinner are distributed to families in need.

At Christmastime, members of our congregation support the Deacons in their benevolence ministry of providing food and personal gifts to "adopted" families.

Habitat for Humanity
Church members have donated time and energies to build one home in Freehold and another one with Coastal Habitat for Humanity in Neptune. This is an ongoing involvement with Habitat for Humanity that is organized by our Mission/Outreach Committee. It is hard work, but rewarding!

Other Local Outreach Ministries
Twice a year donations are sent to four local non-profit charities.

The ladies who form our Prayer Shawl Ministry Team lovingly donate their time and talents to create colorful, hand-knitted or crotched shawls for needy people in local nursing homes, mainly the county nursing home.

In November of each year we set up a "Mitten Tree" to receive donations of new children's gloves and mittens.  These are then delivered to the local Salvation Army unit for distribution.

Twice a year, a two-mile stretch of Wyckoff Road is cleaner as we help pick up debris on our adopted highway.

For the first time in February 2007, we hosted and sponsored the Lifeline Screening for people in the community, in an effort to help prevent strokes.

In January we collect coats and blankets.  These are delivered to the local Salvation Army unit for distribution.

For the first time in January 2007, we collected funds to help the Lakewood Outreach Missionary Church provide propane tanks of fuel to the homeless who are living in tents in the woods.

Our newest big project is working in a soup kitchen in Asbury Park one day a month.
